Retail Associate

Job Description

Travertine Spa is a line of high-end natural botanical body care products and resort clothing. The Sales Associate position is a key part-time or full-time position and you will serve as the first point of contact for customers. You are the person who helps the customer as soon as they enter the door until they leave the store. A retail sales associate also helps customers find what item they are looking for in the store and offer them a unique, specialized and personal shopping experience. You also have other tasks that include managing inventory, organizing product on the store floor, clerical duties and handle money at the register. Associates work in cooperation with their Supervisor, as well as other associates in their department.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers who enter the shop
  • Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for
  • Being responsible for processing cash and card payments
  • Stocking shelves with merchandise
  • Answering queries from customers
  • Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor
  • Balancing cash registers with receipts
  • Dealing with customer refunds
  • Keeping the store tidy and clean

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • High school graduate: Some college/college graduate preferred
  • Customer service and sales related experience
  • Having a friendly and engaging personality
  • Comfortable working with members of the public
  • Should have a confident manner
  • Must be helpful and polite
  • Able to work as part of a sales team
  • Positive energy and a willingness to contribute to the team is necessary
  • Excellent communication and professionalism
